This project examines the notion of infill and functional hybridization through a series of experiments at increasing scales; from a wall to a single room to a six-story building occupying a hyper-condensed site. These experiments provide the basis for a methodology that favors capacity over limitation and argues that the value proposition for inward intensification lies in the addition of public amenities and the potential for activation of underutilized spaces. The resulting infill building relates to its counterpart through a shared access tower which also functions as a public art gallery for the surrounding neighborhood.
